Update: After 3 years of use the Water/Ice dispenser arm broke in the *flow* position and partially flooded my kitchen. Luckily my wife caught it in time before it did significant harm. The arm broke due to the fact it was under tension by the return spring and the plastic just gave way and fractured after 3 years of use.

Also the only way to repair is to acquire the complete Dispenser module for close to plus shipping. You can’t just get the broken piece.

FYI: The front manage console will expense close to 0 to replace. So acquiring extra warratny is advisable. I want I did!!!

I actually have the EW26SS65GS which only differs slightly with the touch controls.

The substantial point of this refrigerator that makes it stand out from the crowd is that it is fully constructed in stainless steel whilst the others just have stainless steel cladding in the front but not on the sides.

This tends to make for a handsome refrigerator because this is not a counter depth model so the sides display.

Each freezer and refrigerator interior has ample storage. The interior lights have a good effect of becoming initally dim at 1st and then fully brightens up.

A very good point is the getaway mode you can set that saves electricity by not turning on the defrosting cycle when you are away.

My only grievance is the the style of the ice dispenser which delivers the ice (both cubes and crushed) which such force and intensity that the ice is spilled all above the floor and a clean up is usually needed. My four year old kid is so afraid to use it.

The delivery guys do not install the water dispenser hose so I had to do it myself and it was somewhat of an effort threading it effectively. I mis-threaded the very first hose and had to purchase an aftermarket replacement at . It appears that the authentic hose is hard to locate item.

For the $ two,500 we paid for it, we anticipated that the Ice dispenser flaw would have been discoverd and remedied prior to production.

FYI: unit created in Mexico.

Ice and water dispenser started out acting up about six months right after we purchased it. It would keep “on” and spray water/ice all over the floor. It was an intermittent problem so I sadly ignored it. Now it occurs 50% of the time we use it. We maintain a huge pitcher by the fridge for the youngsters to grab if someone makes the mistake of attempting to get water or ice. It will empty half the dispenser ahead of stopping. Complaints about Electrolux ice makers are all above the Web. If you call Electrolux, they will say they have never heard of difficulties like the ones described all over the World wide web and will provide to line you up with a local repair guy, that will inform you that you need a new front panel for 0.00 plus installation.

Possibly they created good vacuum cleaners a few years ago, but this is not what I believed I was obtaining when I spent two grand on a refrigerator!

If you never want ice or water out of the dispenser, I suppose it functions OK. It freezes every thing in the meat drawer even on the lowest setting.
